The Gloucester Green Party campaigns locally for social and environmental justice. The basis of our manifesto is the belief that concern for the environment, compassion, equality and honesty should be at the core of economic, social and civil liberties policies.
As ecological, resource and financial crises arrive simultaneously, only the Green Party has an answer that will benefit all people.
This is why we're trying to elect Gloucester's first Green councillor, and with your help, we can make it happen.
how you can help
The fight for social and climate justice is for everyone, so no matter who you are, we would welcome you to help out in a variety of ways. You could:
- Join the Green Party! It's only £3 monthly, and students pay even less.
- Stand as a councillor: it's not just about winning, every vote gets us funding!
- Come to our meetings - we have a casual get-together to talk green issues on the last Wednesday of every month, if this sounds like your thing we'd love for you to come and join us.
- Volunteer with us on an election campaign: from leafleting to 60-second surveys, we'll have something that suits you!
If you want to get involved, don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
The Green Party Political Programme sets out what Greens are in politics to do: to end the system that keeps hurting the environment and all of us who rely on it - and to build a better alternative.
This Programme isn't like other parties' manifestos, it has not been squeezed through focus groups and stripped down according to the latest polling. Instead it has been built from policies proposed and voted on by our members, looking to secure the long term future of the places and people they love.
It's a vision of a better world, and together we can deliver it.
